Nokia Flexible LCD 4G Concept Phone
I was reading the September edition of "The Semiconductor Monthly Update Report" by Future Horizon when I stumbled across the winning entry for the Nokia 4G Design Competition. The concept phone below uses a flexible LCD screen. When the phone is closed, it looks like a typical Bluetooth handset. When you push the button in the middle, the phone opens like a Japanese hand fan.
The concept phone features a scrollable and touch-enabled LCD screen. The phone would only have one hardware button and most features can be accessed from the display. The phone can be used as a picture phone, video conference appliance, or Internet navigation unit. However, don't expect the phone anytime soon.
The concept phone was designed by Hugo Danti.
