Sprint Nextel's Boost pre-paid service has cut the cost of calling plans in order to entice new customers to sign up. Call costs have been halved from 20 cents per minute to 10 cents per minute. Boost is also going to make changes to its $50 monthly unlimited usage plan, but it did not spell out the details. The plans are not available in all Boost markets yet, and will be rolled out on a selective basis. The move is meant to help expand Boost's appeal beyond the 14-to-25 year old segment who currently favor the service.
