The man on the left is Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google. What’s in his hands? A Verizon-branded HTC Android device. Why is this interesting? You know, the fact that it’s not announced? Also could that be a Motorola Sholes in the photo on the right?
Google and Verizon just held a conference call and in plain terms, are going to be announcing Android handsets for Verizon’s network in the “next few weeks.” It’s nice to see both companies finally joining up, but to be honest, all we care about it is the October 30th launch date for the Sholes/Tao/Droid that we outed yesterday. Boo-yah!
